New polling shows Kelsey leading in State Senate District 31

NASHVILLE – More than half of voters surveyed in Tennessee Senate District 31 have or plan to vote for incumbent Brian Kelsey, according to recent polling from the Tennessee Employees Action Movement and Spry strategies.

As early voting continues across the state, the TEAM-PAC/Spry Spoll, which surveyed registered voters in State Senate District 31 who indicated they were likely to vote or have early voted in the November 6 General Election, found 56 percent of voters support Republican Brian Kelsey over Democrat Gabby Salinas.

The TEAM-PAC/Spry poll surveyed 444 registered voters in Senate District 31 between October 21-23, 2018.

Percentages from the polling were as follows: Brian Kelsey 56%, Gabby Salinas 38%, and 6% Undecided.

“With only a few weeks remaining in this race, these percentages look good for our endorsed candidate and state employees,” TSEA Executive Director Randy Stamps said. “Senator Kelsey has a history of working with state employees on solutions to their issues, including sponsoring and co-sponsoring legislation, and that is why he has our support in this election.”
